News: Brian Wilson to release That Lucky Old Sun

On an old Beach Boys bootleg, Wilson could be heard rambling about the ill effects of smog and its ill effects on him. While it might have been any number of barbiturates and hallucinogens talking on behalf of the pop genius, we know his anti-smog rant to be true. His love for the sun was displayed that day, some 40 years removed from the current climate crisis we're apparently stuck within.

So it comes as no surprise that the rejuvenated Brian Wilson would deliver That Lucky Old Sun come September 2nd via old stomping ground, Capitol Records. Though there's no word as to whether That Lucky Old Sun will contain an updated rant on smog, it will tackle the Southern California scene Wilson ushered in with his brothers, cousins, and hangers-on throughout the Beach Boys' heyday.
