Entertainment News: IFC and Nerve Unveil Top 50 Comedy Sketches

It'd be a moot argument deciding what we believe to be omitted from such a fantastic list. The beauty of this list isn't so much the rankings but the wide swatch of comedy from all periods, eras, and English-speaking provinces. To be honest, the only glaring omission we can fathom is a lack of The State's "Hormones" and "Louie: The Last Supper" (we're quite partial to "Blueberry Johnson" as well) and Monty Python's Olympics parody featuring Philosophers from Germany and Italy battling it out on the pitch.

However, the arguments are week when cycling through years of fantastic sketches from SNL, SCTV, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Chappelle's Show, The State, and a host of other shows. Watch. Laugh. Learn.
